How We Operate
Our warehouses are operated by experienced teams and supported by an advanced Warehouse Management System (WMS) that provides real-time visibility of stock availability and movements. The system integrates seamlessly with clients’ existing systems, ensuring accurate inventory management and operational transparency.
By managing cargo from receipt through to dispatch, Ziegler allows clients to focus on their core business while we manage the logistics.
General Cargo Warehousing
Whether importing raw materials or distributing finished goods, our warehouses offer secure and flexible storage services designed to support efficient supply chains.
Cargo is managed using a barcode-based tracking system. Goods are scanned upon arrival and assigned a unique pallet or cargo ID where required, ensuring full traceability throughout the warehouse process. This provides both the client and warehouse team with complete visibility of inventory movements.
Picking, Packing
and Distribution
Distribution Services
In addition to pallet-level storage, Ziegler provides picking, packing and distribution services designed to keep orders moving efficiently.
Dispatch Support
Our warehouse operation supports single-item picking, multi-line orders, and batch picking for high-volume dispatch environments.
Barcode Scanning
Using barcode scanning, real-time inventory control, and systematic order verification, our teams help reduce errors and improve order turnaround times.
Bonded Warehousing
Ziegler offers bonded warehouse facilities that allow imported cargo to be stored under customs control while deferring payment of duties and VAT for up to two years.
This allows clients to better manage cash flow, align tax payments with sales cycles, and respond to market demand more effectively. Cargo can also be exported directly from the bonded warehouse where applicable.

Cross Docking
To help reduce inland transport costs, Ziegler offers cross-docking solutions through our Durban warehouse, located close to the Port of Durban.
Containers can be unpacked in Durban and cargo transported by road to inland destinations such as Johannesburg, helping reduce the cost associated with returning empty containers to the port.
