Ziegler 2025 Sustainability Report

In 2025, Ziegler South Africa not only met but exceeded the sustainability targets we set in motion just a year prior. What began as an ambitious framework in 2024 quickly evolved into a company-wide commitment to make measurable, lasting change.

We achieved this through three core actions — accurate and purposeful trackingresponsible supplier selection, and comprehensive employee training. While these may sound straightforward, their impact has been transformative across our operations.

1. Accurate and Purposeful Tracking

By refining how we monitor energy consumption, fuel efficiency, and carbon output across our logistics network, we’ve gained clearer insights into where we can make the biggest improvements. This data-driven approach has allowed us to reduce waste, optimise delivery routes, and better align with our long-term environmental goals.

2. Responsible Supplier Selection

Sustainability doesn’t stop at our doors — it extends to every partner and supplier we work with. Throughout 2024, we reviewed our supply chain to ensure that our partners shared our commitment to ethical, environmentally conscious practices. This process has strengthened our relationships and contributed to a more sustainable logistics ecosystem.

3. Empowering Employees Through Training

True change starts with people. By equipping our teams with the knowledge and tools to make more sustainable choices daily — from warehouse operations to fleet management — we’ve built a culture that values accountability and progress.

Looking ahead, our focus for 2026 is to build on this foundation by introducing new technology-driven sustainability initiatives and expanding our partnerships with green innovators across the logistics industry.

At Ziegler South Africa, sustainability isn’t just a goal — it’s part of how we move forward, together.
