At Ziegler we believe in investing in the youth of our country and giving them an opportunity to learn and gain the experience they need to prepare them for a career in the Freight Forwarding and Clearing industry. Our learners receive training from an Accredited Service Provider who offer Accredited Training Programs in the form of a robust and informative learnership. Our learners will complete the Freight Forwarding and Customs Compliance NQF Level 3.

Ziegler has taken a novel approach to this initiative by providing an assessment-based 4 week “Externship” precursor program as an induction to the formal Learnership program.
During the externship, the learners will receive in-depth training across the various divisions of the organisation. The objective is to provide the learner with the opportunity to familiarise themselves with both the operational activities of the business as well as to gain the knowledge of how the divisions interact with one another thereby giving them a broader outlook on the industry and how this ultimately serves our customers.

On successful completion of the externship, our learners will migrate to the formal accredited 12-month learnership program while being hosted at our Ziegler offices. In this way, they have the advantage of being exposed to everyday operations in the division that suits their particular skillset.Our learnership program empowers our learners by giving them the necessary skills to be self-motivated, multi-skilled and ready to pursue a career in the supply chain industry.
